Prolog 03:15
English translation: Explosions reverberate through the streets. Some rays of light pierce the dense dust clouds. Birds are no longer singing their hopeful songs. Richly manured with the blood of thousands of children, women and men, flowers sprout between the cobblestones, a thick layer of dirt engulfs their dismal beauty. Rubble and corpses hide the remaining fighters, defiant. They are hungry and wounded and pale. Their minds are filled with a craving for life. Full of contempt, they spit upon death.

Deep down in the basement, behind a crumbled wall sits Justyna, hungry and quietly, a pistol in her hand Full of fear and defiance, she is waiting for death to come The mere thought of freedom fills her heart with strength and courage 2. Every sound makes her tremble; a mouse climbs up her leg This tenderness shocks her more than any torture or pain She’d got away once before, when life seemed to have deserted her Heedless, under delusions of grandeur, her killers had left her behind 3. Volleys of gunfire left deep wounds in her body Beneath old people and children she lay, thus shot, thus injured Yet death refused her at his richly layed table took all souls around her, but did not want hers 4. Now she’s lying here in the dust, waiting for her life to end Not one raven settles down, oh, how wonderful life would be Since fascism came to rule, death and freedom have gone hand in hand Since the Barbarians prevailed, the world has been in flames

Ausbruch 06:17
Shots are fired in the distance, block after block is demolished Tank tracks screech, uncovered fighters are executed Justyna hardly dares to breathe, but needs to leave the basement Commands, cries, bursts of fire rattle, there’s no surviving in this house 2. Weapon in hand, she climbs the stairs, step by step The closer she gets to the street, the clearer she can hear the butchers rave Pressed to the ground, she crawls to the steps, spying round the corner into the light The door leading downwards is broken from its hinges, they‘re not yet in front of this house 3. She can hear the hiss of a flamethrower, spitting death and agony into every hole Burning humans scream, out of their minds, this, too, is the ugly face of the fascist yoke Justyna knows she has to try, out into the street and round the corner knows where comrades used to lie, she then runs out and is brought down

Abschied 06:33
English translation: 1. A wide tank rolls up the street, grey soldiers marching behind Aiming at every window, mercy, or pity even, no-one can expect Justyna is lying in the gutter, blood, blood streaming from her legs, the cold makes her shiver, and panic seems to take hold of her She’s singing quietly to herself, not willing to show her fear 2. She feels the pistol in her hand, the grenade on her belt pushes into her back The cowardly scum is upon her now, surrounding her with their dirty light One of them presses the barrel to her head, but another holds him back Yells: “Save the bullet. It’s not worth it. A rope will do for the whore”. 3. The scum laugh, one runs away, only to come back straightaway Instead of a rope he brings wire, joking with the others They surround her, coming ever closer to Justyna, their alertness making way for their greed And Justyna knows “I fight until the end, they won’t get me...”

Epilog 04:15
English translation: With her last ounce of strength she pushes her weapon into her mouth. Her killers stare at her, amused and lecherous, pointing their guns at Justyna. They step out of the firing line. She pulls the trigger one last time. But before, Justyna pulls the pin out of the grenade and rolls onto her side. She has taken many lives. A few more will follow. No remorse, just endless courage.
