1. In der Ferne fallen Schüsse, Block um Block wird nun gesprengt | Panzerketten mahlen kreischend, entdeckte Kämpfer*innen werden gehenkt | Justyna wagt kaum noch zu atmen, doch aus dem Keller muss sie raus | Kommandos, Schreie, Garben knattern, kein Überleben in diesem Haus
2. Mit der Waffe in der Hand steigt Stufe um Stufe sie nach oben | Je näher sie der Straße kommt, desto klarer hört sie die Schlächter toben | Flach auf dem Boden kriecht sie zur Treppe, ums Eck herum späht sie ins Licht | Die Tür nach unten ist herausgebrochen, vor diesem Haus sind sie noch nicht
3. English translation:

Justyna hardly dares to breathe, but needs to leave the basement
Commands, cries, bursts of fire rattle, there’s no surviving in this house
2. Weapon in hand, she climbs the stairs, step by step
The closer she gets to the street, the clearer she can hear the butchers rave
Pressed to the ground, she crawls to the steps, spying round the corner into the light
The door leading downwards is broken from its hinges, they‘re not yet in front of this house
3. She can hear the hiss of a flamethrower, spitting death and agony into every hole
Burning humans scream, out of their minds, this, too, is the ugly face of the fascist yoke
Justyna knows she has to try, out into the street and round the corner
knows where comrades used to lie, she then runs out and is brought down
